performances by three of Midwest’s finest pianists. We invite you
to join us for
an
exciting season of keyboard mastery as we continue our
mission to present
exceptional Midwestern talent to St. Louis audiences. All performances take place on Sunday
afternoons at the Ethical Society
and are followed by a reception to greet the artists. |

Zsolt Bognár performs Piano Classics
Liszt: Fantasia quasi sonata “Après une lecture du Dante”
Beethoven: Sonata No.6 in F major, Opus 10 No. 2
Liszt: “La Chasse” from Grandes Etudes de Paganini
Liszt : “La Chasse sauvage” from Transcendental Etudes
Schubert: Sonata in c minor, D.958
Pianist Zsolt Bognár, from Urbana, IL, has been hailed by the European press
for his “overwhelmingly visceral playing” and his “phenomenal sound”. Mr. Bognár has performed at the Lincoln and Kennedy Centers in the U.S.,
at
Tokyo’s Suntory Hall,
and in Russia, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
This concert is presented jointly with the Ethical Society. |

French born, Polish raised pianist, Graciella Kowalczyk, has appeared in
recitals and as a soloist in over 15 countries. She was a first prize winner in several competitions in the U. S., Italy, Germany and Poland. Ms. Kowalczyk is presently enjoying a very successful musical career and also serves as Artistic Director for the international non-profit foundation, Doctors for Music…Where Medicine Meets the Arts.

Mr. Sheffield resides in Kansas City, MO.
